Scope and Content
Photographs, correspondence, article typescripts, bibliography, notes, booklists, course syllabus, and other material from
Scott Giantvalley, who was a doctoral candidate in English at the University of Southern California during the mid-to-late
1970s. The bulk of the material pertains to Giantvalley's research for, and unsuccessful attempt to publish, a bibliographic
article titled "An Annotated Checklist of Material Dealing with the Theme of Homosexuality in Literature of the 20th Century,"
1976-1977. In addition, one folder in the collection contains material from the UCLA Gay and Lesbian Media Festival, 1982-1983,
the precursor to Outfest Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.
Two theater scripts,
The Wedding, have been separated from the collection and cataloged into ONE Archives' Gay and Lesbian Drama Scripts Collection.
