    Processing Information

    During processing, the entire collection was re-foldered and re-housed in acid-free folders and boxes. Some metal staples remain.

    Administrative History

    The Westwood Movie Club, active 1940-circa 1966, was an amateur movie club dedicated to helping members improve and show their films. The club also held technical talks and demonstrations on film making, while holding annual competitions and awarding prizes. Meetings took place on the last Friday of every month. Presidents include Edward Kentura, Salvatore Siciliano, Eric Unmack and Tillio Pellegrini. The club was located at 1345 Ocean Avenue and founded by Eric Unmack.

    Scope and Contents

    The collection includes the clubs by-laws, contest information, ephemera relating to various events and competitions, financial records, meeting minutes, newspaper clippings, the Rewind published by the Westwood Movie Club, and photographs.

    The collection is arranged in 2 series: Series 1: Ephemeara and Series 2: Photographs.
