Abstract: This collection contains newspaper clippings, musical event programs, correspondence, photographs, and miscellaneous documents
from the life and work of singer and voice teacher Valerie Post (Mrs. Lauren C. Post) and her students. Early in her career
she was known as Valeria Postnikova. At one time she was President of the San Diego Light Opera Association. The date and
donor of the collection is unknown, although it is thought that it was donated to the library after 1984 by Valerie Post herself.
She was born in Russia in 1904 and died in San Diego at the age of 89.
