Scope and content:

Record Series 771 contains the administrative files of the UCLA Teacher Education Program. This includes reports, forms, correspondence, handbooks, manuals, and documentation of meetings, conferences, and events.

Biographical / historical:

The UCLA Teacher Education Program (TEP) began within Center X in 1994, as an intensive two-year program leading to state certification and a master's degree. Its aim is to promote social justice in public education by preparing teachers for placement in low income schools in California, and Los Angeles in particular.
