The David Hull photographs of Lady Washington (built 1989; brig), 1992 April, (SAFR 24249, P92-100) are comprised of photographs of LADY WASHINGTON during a voyage between Astoria, Oregon, and Grays Harbor, Washington. The collection has been processed to the Collection level and is open for use.
Contains photographs of LADY WASHINGTON (built 1989; brig) underway while en route between Astoria, Oregon, and Grays Harbor, Washington, and while docked at Astoria, Oregon, 1992 April. There are 12 unique photographic images in 24 physical forms (12 color 35mm negatives and 12 photographic prints, 3.5 x 10 in.).
The photographs taken while underway consist of views taken from aloft one of the masts (Items 01-02), deck views (Items 03-06), and crew members aloft (Items 07-08). Item 09 shows the Port of Astoria piers, with the bow of SALVAGE CHIEF (tugboat) docked alongside the pier in the foreground. Large piles of timber are stacked on the pier in the middle distance and the Astoria�Megler Bridge is in the background. The masts of LADY WASHINGTON are visible in the distance. Item 10 shows the view from the photographer's bedroom in Astoria overlooking the Columbia River, showing LADY WASHINGTON anchored in the distance. Items 11-12 show LADY WASHINGTON docked at the Columbia River Maritime Museum pier in Astoria.

LADY WASHINGTON (built 1989; brig) is the Official Ship of the State of Washington. Launched on March 7, 1989, LADY WASHINGTON was built in Aberdeen, Washington, by the Grays Harbor Historical Seaport Authority. She is a replica of the original LADY WASHINGTON, the first American vessel to make landfall on the west coast of North America as well as the first American vessel to visit Honolulu, Hong Kong and Japan.
