Scope and content:: The collection consists of correspondence between Vesecky and participants in various ecology programs intended to create a positive environmental impact and foster cooperation between the United States and the Soviet Union. It contains administrative materials, printed matter, and some photographic materials related to these programs, including Vesecky's business, Biointensive for Russia, based out of Palo Alto. Other US-USSR initiatives include Ecodom, VIOLA, St. Mark's Hunger Taskforce, and Ecology Action.
Biographical / historical:: Carol Vesecky was involved in numerous ecological movements, citizen diplomacy projects, and US-USSR initiatives, including Ecodom, Viola, St. Mark's Hunger Taskforce, and her own organization, "Bio-Intensive for Russia."
