    Abstract: The Marvin and Mary Carlock Fireside Theatre scripts collection consists of scripts and reels of 16mm film from the television series Fireside Theatre, from 1949-1954. Scripts are present at the Cinematic Arts Library while film reels are housed at the USC Hugh M. Hefner Moving Image Archive. Scripts were written by Fireside Theatre creator, director, and writer Frank Wisbar (1899-1967)

    Biographical / Historical

    This collection was donated by Marvin and Mary Carlock, and represents the scripts of Frank Wisbar, creator, director, and writer of the Fireside Theatre television series.
    Running from 1949 to 1958, Fireside Theatre was an American anthology drama that featured a rotation of guest stars and such freelance writers as Rod Serling and Ray Bradbury.

    Scope and Contents

    The Marvin and Mary Carlock Fireside Theatre scripts collection consists of 29 volumes of scripts and 174 reels of 16mm film from the television series Fireside Theatre, from 1949-1954. Scripts are held by the Cinematic Arts Library while film reels are housed at the USC Hugh M. Hefner Moving Image Archive.
