A colelction of letters from Lewis Charles Levin, American Congressmen, to William David Lewis.
Background
Lewis Charles Levin (1808-1860) was one of the founders of the Nativist Party in 1842 which was a forerunner of the Know-Nothings. Levin was also the Representative from Pennsylvania for the Twenty-ninth, Thirtieth, and Thirty-first Congresses (1845 to 1851).
