Scope and Content Note

This box contains copy prints ranging in size from 9 x 6 cm to 17 x 24 cm, one photostat (item 96), and some original cartes-de-visite (items 74-81, 95); a cabinet card (item 80); two 1913 postcards (items 45 and 58); and an original snapshot (item 57). All items are photographs; if the item description indicates "lithograph" or another technique, it indicates a photograph of a lithograph.
The prints have handwritten descriptions on the versos or on an accompanying sheet of paper, which vary from a few handwritten words to several typewritten sentences. There is a discrepancy in the identifications of some of the people in the photographs. See Dolley's manuscripts for alternative identifications for some photographs.
