    Scope and Content

    Paul Radin was born Sept 15, 1913 in New York. He died Oct. 18, 2001 in Santa Barbara, CA.
    The collection contains background material (including a six page typescript autiobiography), as well as tapes and transcripts from 1999 interviews on Radin’s role as a producer in the film industry, responsible for movies such as Born Free, and recollections of film stars such as Charles Chaplin (for whom he wrote the advertising campaign for Monsieur Verdoux), Charles Laughton, Heddy Lamar, Humphrey Bogart, and Yul Brynner.
