Scope and content:

Includes a certifed copy of articles of incorporation of the Twin Buttes Railroad Co., a quit claim deed for a right of way to be built and maintained by the Twin Buttes Railroad Co in 1905, a summons sent to the company by the Arizona Territory's Justice Court in 1905, an agreement with Southern Pacific to house and repair a locomotive at the SP's Tuscon roundhouse in 1909, correspondence regarding the agreement with the SP Co, and May 1905 payroll sheets.

Biographical / historical:

The Twin Buttes Railroad [Arizona], twenty-nine miles from Tucson via Sahuarita to the mines near Twin Buttes, was incorporated September 23, 1904 and completed July 20, 1906. Road had two locomotives (which did not go to the SP), and its line from Sahuarita to the mines was abandoned about 1931.
