    Scope and Contents

    This collection consists of radio, film, and television actor Andy Devine's (1905-1977) scripts for The Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok from 1951-1957, as well as Devine's collection of vinyl LP records.

    Biographical / Historical

    Andy Devine (1905-1977) was an American actor for radio, film, and television. Devine has more than 200 acting credits to his name. He was often in B-movie Westerns but also had roles in feature films. He is known for playing Jingle in both the radio and television series "The Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok." Devine also voiced Friar Tuck in Disney's "Robin Hood" (1973).
