Ernest Alonzo Nevers (June 11, 1902 - May 3, 1976) was an American professional athlete who played American football as a
fullback for the Duluth Eskimos and the Chicago Cardinals of the National Football League, as well as baseball as a pitcher
for the St. Louis Browns. Nevers was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1951 and the Pro Football Hall of
Fame in 1963.
