Background

Scope and content:

The collection comprises 156 color posters created for the Partito Radicale during the 1970s. As head of press and communication activities for the party, Vincenzo Zeno-Zencovich set aside these materials. Most of the posters were designed by graphic designer Piergiorgio Maoloni, with contributions from his primary assistant, Aurelio Candido. The posters address various social and political issues, including divorce, abortion, women's and sexual rights, and antimilitarism.

Vincenzo Zeno-Zencovich is an Italian legal scholar and professor of Comparative Law at the University of Roma Tre. In the 1970s, he was involved in press and communication activities for the Partito Radicale, an Italian political party advocating civil rights, anti-clericalism, and direct democracy (1955-1989).
