    Biographical Note

    Joy Takeshita Teraoka and her family Thomas Kohachiro and Katsuyo Lillian Takeshita and were incarcerated at the Heart Mountain War Relocation Center during World War II. Thomas and Lillan both applied and received government jobs after the war.

    The Takeshita and Teraoka family papers consists of annotated photo albums of first-generation Japanese Americans from their arrival in the US through WWII internment camps and post-WWII activities.
