Scope and Contents

This series contains the written correspondences to Vincent Clark. The letter and postcard, written by Harry Giddings, describe the need to catch up after a long time without talking, the beauty of Hawaii, the military's campaign in the Philippines, and the desire to return home soon. The v-mail, written by Frank Cate, describes his vacation in Italy after the conclusion of the War in Europe and congratulating Vincent on the upcoming birth of his son.

Scope and Contents

This series contains three photographs concerning Technician Fifth Grade Harry L. Giddings. The first is a photo of Giddings in military uniform, showing just his face; the back of the picture is labeled "dad's army friend - Harry Gidding". The second is a photo of Giddings in military uniform, embracing a smiling woman; the back of the picture is labeled ""Harry Giddings and Girl Friend in Hawaii. Harry killed on Okinawa awfter wars end by demolition debris". The third is a photo of Giddings gravestone, which reads "Harry L. Giddings, Tec5 49 Field Arty 7 Div, World War II, Sept 7 1914 - July 22 1945".
