Scope and content:: "Return of Amani Oshima, Ryukyu Islands, to Japanese control." VS, Officials entering vehicles in the arch of the compound. Included are James V Martin, Jr, American Consul, Japanese officials, American officers. VS, Martin enters a small boat. As the boat pulls out Japanese and Americans wave. Martin and United States Colonel enter the new school building. Japanese aircraft drops pamphlets; children catch them. LS, Japanese aircraft circling the island. (unedited, silent) (December 1953)
