Kyushu floods. LS, row of flooded huts; rubble piled outside. MLS, MS woman and two men rummage through their belongings stacked outside of hut. MS, hen struts along the edge of the hut and pecks at the ground. LSs, flooded farmland area still under the receding waters. AV, flooded Ashiya area, Moji Port area with ships in the harbor. Flooded town, roads and washed-out bridge. (most of AV footage hazy and bumpy) LSs, washed out bridge. MCU, Japanese work Bn sign. LS, MLS, damaged shops along village street. MS, into the shop as the shopkeeper scrapes mud off the floor. MLS, trucks with laborers roll L/R down village street. MS, people including children, stand in water with their belongings. MLS, little girl picks up objects out of box in a shop. MS, salvaged shoes on roof to dry. MS, MCU, statue of a Buddha picked up after flood by village farmer, believed to be a "good omen", placed in view on top of household belongings. MS, family stands in front of house.
