Scope and content:: U.S. occupation troops in Japan. Troops of the US 1st Cav marching in formation past sign, "1st Cav Div First in Tokyo". VS, Mac Gen William C Chase shakes hands with soldiers who stand in front of sign. VS, convoy of jeeps, armored cars, 2 1/2-ton trucks, etc. drive in the countryside. LS, old US Embassy in Tokyo. Flag raising over Tokyo. VS, dignitaries arriving for flag raising. Included are Gen Douglas MacArthur, Gen Robert L Eichelberger, and Adm William F Halsey. VS, dignitaries on review stand.
