Dolly shots - vessels, boating and fishing craft in the Hiroshima Harbor. It shows general activity in the harbor. Most scenes static - no action - Scows, barges, fishing boats at anchor. MLS MS CU A series of shots of a small group of Japanese women praying outside a makeshift Buddhist Temple which was built amongst the ruins. A father pulls a heavily loaded cart out from their yard which is surrounded by rubble. A young son follows behind his father. MLS Two Japanese males stand in front of a carpenters and wheelwright shop in Hiroshima. They are talking. MS A country road, on the outskirts of Hiroshima, as traffic travels both to and from the city. Trucks, carts drawn by oxen, people on cycles and on foot. Reverse shot shows the customer being handed her purchase. Small child nearby. MS A Japanese butcher at her stand. She cuts meat into small pieces. (Not much meat shown). MS Huge columns of smoke from a burning barracks, formerly a Japanese Army barracks, which caught on fire. (color, unedited, silent) (March-April 1946)
