Background
Arthur Knight (1916–1991) was a movie critic, film historian, professor, and TV and radio host. He wrote "The Liveliest Art,"
a history of the cinema used as a textbook at colleges and universities. He taught at the University of Southern California,
with students including George Lucas and John Carpenter. Knight wrote for The Hollywood Reporter, produced and hosted the
1985 series "Sex in Cinema" for the Playboy Channel, and hosted the radio series "Knight at the Movies."
