The Cheri Pies papers contain materials related to her groundbreaking 1985 book, “Considering Parenthood: A Workbook for Lesbians,” and other lesbian parenting issues. Pies, a clinical professor at the UC Berkeley School of Public Health, has been a leader in women’s health for 30 years and was instrumental in supporting lesbian motherhood in the late 1970s.
