Description
A collection of family photograph albums and a clippings scrapbook, 1910s-1930s, related to the family of James T. Buck, a newspaper publisher in Texas.
Background
James T. Buck (1869-1939) was born in West Station, Mississippi. He was the editor and publisher of two Texas newspapers: the Chillicothe Independent, beginning about 1908, and the Crosbyton Review, which he sold in 1921. He married Anna "Annie" Dodson (1883-1963) in 1903 and they had four children--Anna Pauline (born 1905), Richard Dodson (born 1906), William Quinn (born 1908), and Lou Ernestine (born 1909).
