Series 2) PHOTOGRAPHS: Images by LaFond of SIO personnel, visitors, and the campus in the 1930s, including the research vessels Scripps and the E.W. Scripps, as well as color negatives of Deepstar submersible dives. Images of SIO personnel are arranged alphabetically by last name. Approximately 200 images from this series have been digitized, and are available on the UC San Diego Digital Collections website.
Arranged in five subseries: A) People and Portraits; B) R/V Scripps; C) R/V E.W. Scripps; D) SIO and San Diego; and E) Deepstar Submersible.
