Scope and content:: Research materials gathered by Joan Dunning for the book she wrote in conjunction with photographer Doug Thron: From the Redwood Forest - Ancient Trees and the Bottom Line: The Headwaters Journey, published in 1998.
Acquisition information:: Joan Dunning offered the materials to Humboldt State University Library through an informal discussion with Edie Butler in Fall 2009. Ms. Dunning stated that they had not been sorted and may contain personal or family materials. Edie Butler agreed to review the collection and some personal items were subsequently returned to Joan.
