Collection of photocopied papers, correspondence, and photographs pertaining to Dr. Ernesto Galarza compiled by Estrada in the course of his research; also papers on the 1987 symposium and exhibit at Occidental College honoring the achievements of Galarza. Digital photos are copies from original negatives housed at Occidental College Special Collections. The photos include family images; student life in Sacramento and at Occidental College; his professional and political work; farm workers. 1904-1987, undated

Galarza (1905-1984) was a Mexican immigrant and a graduate of Occidental College in 1927. He wrote an autobiography "Barrio Boy" and other books and articles. He championed on behalf of farm workers.
