Longevity Wines is a Livermore, California winery that opened in 2008 and that was founded by Phil Long, a 1982 graduate of Cal Poly Pomona, and his wife, Debra. The Longs started by making wine out of their garage in 2003. In 2006, the couple started the Longevity Wine Club that featured a monthly wine shipment from California wineries, including a newsletter to members that offered stories about the featured wineries and wines, recipes, and photos. Each month, the club featured a different California appellation.
The winery initially opened in 2008 in a 1,000 square foot facility. In 2011, the winery moved to a 4,000 square foot facility. Longevity's offerings included two signature blends named after the co-owners: Deb-ru-vee, a Rhone blend, and Phil-osophy, a Bordeaux blend.
Since its founding, Longevity Wines has gained recognition, including being named as Livermore Valley Winery of the Year in 2018. The winery also formed a partnership with Bronco Wine Company in 2019 to distribute Longevity Wines nationally. In addition to owning Longevity Wines, Phil Long has served as president of the Association of African American Vintners, a role he took on in 2020. The group offers support to African American vintners and wine professionals and also offers educational and career support to future winemakers.
In 2019, Debra Long died after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2016. Following Debra's diagnosis, Phil Long, Jr. joined his father on the winery team. As of 2025, Longevity continues to produce wine, receiving awards in recent years from the California Commercial Wine Competition at the California State Fair and the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
