Description
The collection contains the project files of botanist Dave Bramlet for his biological consulting work in Southern California from the 1980s until 2017, including field notes, maps, draft and final reports, and digital files. The collection also includes color slides and photographs for field work in Alaska, California, and Idaho from the 1980s and 1990s.
Background
Dave Bramlet was born in Lynwood, California in 1954. He studied zoology and ecology at California Polytechnic State University, Pomona. He worked as an independent consulting biologist in Southern California from 1977 until his death in 2018. Bramlet was a co-founder of the Orange County chapter of the California Native Plant Society and served as president from 1985 to 1990. He also served on the board of Southern California Botanists.
