Description
Gerald Locklin is an American poet and Professor Emeritus of English at California State University, Long Beach and the poetry editor of Chiron Review. From 1965 through 2007, he taught creative writing, 20th-century literature, and literary theory at California State University, Long Beach. Although now Professor Emeritus, he continues to teach as an occasional part-time lecturer both at CSU, Long Beach and in the University of Southern California's Master of Professional Writing Program. A friend and contemporary of Charles Bukowski, Locklin published his first poem in the Wormwood Press, which also published Bukowski. He has published over 3000 poems and over one hundred volumes of poetry, fiction, and literary essays. This collection consists of one box of literary publications and newspapers which feature Gerald Locklin's poetry along with those of other contemporary poets.
