In one half-size document box, this small collection consists of an informational flyer from ca. 1945 that calls on American
recognition of a free Indonesian Republic. The flyer and political cartoon describes situations of political unrest for Indonesians
both abroad and in America. It includes information on detained Indonesians in San Francisco, those in Indonesia facing repression
from Japanese forces, and slavery practiced by the Dutch in Indonesia. The flyer was originally produced by the
American Committee for a Free Indonesia in Los Angeles, California and was mailed to Buffalo, New York.
