Materials relating to the commitment ceremony of Jeanne Barnett and Ellie Charlton, two lesbian members of St. Marks Church in Sacramento. The ceremony was performed by a number of clergy attending the California Nevada Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church as a political statement supporting the right of gay people to celebrate their unions in a religious context. Includes document explaining why the clergy is officiating, a program and audiotape from the ceremony.
