Description
This collection is in two cartons and contains materials from 1984-1996. It was originally part of the Colección Tloque Nahuaque
(CTN), the Chicano Studies research library collection in the UCSB Library. There are articles, papers, government reports,
newsletters and proceedings from conferences having to do with Latinos and Mexican Americans in the United States. Some of
the topics covered are: immigration, bilingual education, civil rights, the Chicano Movement, and the UCSB Hunger Strikes.
Items connected to the history of the Chicano Studies Department at UCSB are in these boxes. There are also articles about
professor Rudy Acuña a pioneer in Chicano studies.
