This collection includes the papers of American author, editor, and biographer George Eells (1922-1995). Materials include research documents, interview transcripts, and newspaper clippings for his books. He wrote biographies on Louella Parsons and Hedda Hopper, Cole Porter, and Mae West.

Biographical / historical:

George Eells (1922-1995) was an American writer, editor, and biographer. He wrote biographies on Louella Parsons and Hedda Hopper, Cole Porter, and Mae West. Eells' book on Parsons and Hopper became a television movie, "Malice in Wonderland" (1985). Eells also wrote scripts for the television series "This Is Your Life."
