    Biography/Administrative History

    Eloise Keeler was born on April 5, 1905, to prominent Berkeley writer Charles Augustus Keeler, and artist and photographer Louise Mapes Bunnell Keeler. Eloise Keeler graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1926, majoring in economics and acted in student productions. Keeler was a free-lance writer in the San Francisco Bay Area, writing in many different genres including short stories, newspaper and magazine articles, plays, screenplays, radio and television scripts, poetry and a biography on her brother Leonarde Keeler. Eloise Keeler died in Marin County, Calif., on Sept. 24, 2000.
