The Communist activity in the entertainment industry bureau files span the years 1942-1951 and

Bureau of Investigation (FBI) file on the Communist infiltration of the motion picture industry. The
Bureau file number is 100-138754. Volumes 1 through 28 are represented. The chronological correspondence
files contain internal documents in the form of letters, memorandums, and reports. Topics include
Communist influence in labor unions, Communist front organizations and activities, films of a propaganda
nature, Office of War Information (OWI) activities, House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC)
investigations, Conference of Studio Unions, and the "Hollywood 10."
