Contains aerial photographs of the vessel underway in the Panama Canal and views on board the vessel on the occasion of raising the Naval Reserve flag in San Francisco, California.

Vessel History: The second American-Hawaiian vessel named ARIZONAN was built in 1920 by Sun Shipbuilding Co. in Chester, Pennsylvania, for the Emergency Fleet Corporation, and named CONSHOHOCKEN. She was launched on January 31 and had a successful trial trip on March 19, 1920. In 1921, she was renamed WILLHILO and was part of the Williams Line fleet. She was purchased by American-Hawaiian in 1929 and renamed ARIZONAN. Captain Harold W. Dowling continued to command the vessel after she was renamed.
