The collection consists of materials related to the career and research of Albert L. Page, an emeritus professor of environmental science at the University of California, Riverside. The bulk of materials consist of reprints and reports collected by Page related to his research focusing on soil science and chemistry.

Albert L. Page is an emeritus professor of environmental science and alumnus from the University of California, Riverside. His research and teaching focused on soil chemistry, ion-exchange equilibria, and biogeochemistry of trace elements. Page was also a noted member of the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA) and served as the society's president in 1996.
