    Found in the library. Note on envelope states it was donated by Nancy Olmsted in 2005.

    Historical or Biographical Note

    The building that houses the Old Ship Saloon was built atop the remains of the hull of ARKANSAS (built 1833; ship, 3m).

    The Old Ship Saloon photograph, circa 1907, (SAFR 24661, P16-003) is comprised of a photograph of the Old Ship Saloon in San Francisco, California. The collection has been processed to the Collection level and is open for use.
    Contains 1 black-and-white copy negative, 4 x 5 in., of a photograph of Henry Klee with 15 men (staff and patrons) standing outside the Old Ship Saloon located at Battery and Pacific Streets in San Francisco, California, circa 1907. Proprietor Henry Klee is the mustached man standing next to the post. There are advertisements on the building for Ruhstaller Gilt Edge Lager and Broadway Steam Beer. Two horses hitched to a carriage (out of view) are on the right.
