The collection includes material collected and created by Tede Matthews (July 29, 1951-July 17, 1993). Matthews was a longtime member of the Modern Times Bookstore collective, a performer, poet, writer, and an activist for LGBTQ rights in the United States and Latin America. The collection includes personal writings and poetry, works of art, publications, photographs, audiovisual recordings, personal journals, and other material.
