View shows a relatively unused portion of Yerba Buena Cove, including active and abandoned vessels which have been converted into storeships. In the foreground is the first ferry in the San Francisco Bay, ANTELOPE, inside a row of pilings and with her smokestack laid down, appears to be abandoned. Source: "Credit: Smithsonian Institution." Per note on the enclosure, "FOR INTERNAL USE BY MUSEUM ONLY!" and "RESTRICTED: See enclosed envelope." Also, "Use 5 x 7 negs to print", signed T.C. Per note on the small negative, "OK to use.
