CITY OF RIO DE JANEIRO was a Pacific Mail Steamship Company passenger steamship. Shows survivors huddled together on the hillside with a few items brought with them from the wreck. Note on large print enclosure: "Not CITY OF RIO but Brit. bark GIFFORD."
