    Biographical / Historical

    Susan Groag Bell was a Senior Scholar at the Clayman Institute for Gender Research at Stanford University. Born in Troppau, Czechoslovakia, in 1926, she moved to the United States via England after World War II. Bell earned an AB at Stanford in 1964, and an MA from the University of Santa Clara in 1970. Bell was a pioneer in the field of Women's History and feminist studies. She died June 24, 2015.
