The Advocate Experience was created by David Goodstein, owner of the Advocate magazine, and Dr. Rob Eichberg in 1978. Goodstein and Eichberg facilitated the workshops until their deaths in 1985 and 1995 respectively. Since 1987, fellow colleague Honey Ward facilitated what had become known as The Experience. As of 2013, it is known as Experience Your Power.
