Scope and Content
Materials relating to the biological research of Dr. John (Jack) Engle. Dr. Engle's work focused primarily on nearshore marine
ecology, specifically related to the distribution of sea life assemblages and how they change through time.
Most of Dr. Engle's work is conducted at the Channel Islands, with comparative studies throughout southern California and
along the Pacific Coast.
This collection includes field notes from the Channel Islands Research Program (CIRP), as well as Dr. Engle's dive logs.
