    Biographical / Historical

    William H. Lyles was an American writer, lecturer in English, and collector and researcher of paperbacks.

    Scope and Contents

    The collection is largely correspondence between William H. Lyles and authors that published books with Dell Publishing. Also included are materials from Lyles' research on the history of Dell, photographs, photocopies of articles, and partial runs of two serials: Collecting Paperbacks and Paperback Collector's Newsletter. A number of titles published by or related to Dell Publishing and Western Printing are included in Box 4.

These materials are made available for use in research, teaching, and private study. Any transmission or reproduction beyond that allowed by fair use requires permission from the owners of rights, heir(s) or assigns.
