Scope and Content of Collection
Prints are probably from 4 x 6 or 5 x 7-inch glass plate negatives. They include images of street scenes in Monterey and Pacific
Grove; beach and rocky coastal views in Monterey, Pacific Grove, along 17-Mile Drive (including Cypress Point), and Point
Lobos; the Royal Presidio Chapel (Monterey) and Mission San Carlos Borromeo (Carmel); historic buildings including old adobes
and the Custom House in Monterey and Hotel Carmelo in Pacific Grove; Wharf No. 1, Hotel Del Monte grounds, and the Mexican
period jail in Monterey; Chinatown and the Point Pinos lighthouse in Pacific Grove; and views of forest land and animals grazing.
Organized in one album and arranged numerically by photo number.
