Cynthia Slater (1945-1989) was a cofounder of the Society of Janus and particiant in San Francisco’s S/M scene. The collection includes Slater’s personal collection of “Growing Pains” (1974-1988), the newsletter of the Society of Janus; paste ups of some of the newsletters; and a letter from Jim Norwood to Slater.
