Description
Collection includes photographs and audiovisual recordings of Savoyards productions, as well as production-related material
including programs and ephemera.
Background
Founded in 1973, the Stanford Savoyards, a student-run community theatre company dedicated to Gilbert & Sullivan, produce
two fully-staged and orchestrated operettas in Dinkelspiel Auditorium on the Stanford University campus per season. The Savoyards
are known for putting clever spins on the traditional G&S opus, often paying homage to pop culture phenomena such as Bollywood,
Firefly and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
