Description
Robert Asa Condee (1875-1930) served as the President of the California State Agricultural Society from 1925-1930. This small collection contains Condee's incoming and outgoing correspondence, the majority of which deals with Condee's work for the State Agricultural Society.
Background
Robert Asa Condee was born on December 25, 1875 in San Diego, California. Condee's career included: rancher in Southern California (1892-1896), Clerk of the Board of Supervisors (1897-1900), Horticulture Inspector (1901-1902), Agricultural Adviser in Riverside County (1903-1913), Superintendent of Agriculture and Director of Education at the California Junior Republic in Chino (1914-1918), and principal of Chino Vocational High School.
