Josephus Justus Scaliger./J.de Laeuw sculpsit ad Effigiem, non diu ante mortem expre- ssam, quae ast apud V.N.G.van Papenbroek. R.C.Albarts axcudit. Seated half-portrait in arched oblong looking right. On paper at his right: "Is Casaubono Josephus Scaligar S.P.". Arabic inscription on scroll in his left hand, "Fui- mus Troes" on sill. Eight lines of eulogy under portrait signed: H. Grotius. Page XII. of unidentified series. Engraving. 32.0 x 21.3 cm. Singer No. 26874/80469.
